Q & A

What's in the Box

This swedged throttle linkage tubing is tapped 3/16" (10-32) LH and RH thread. One end of the throttle rod will have left hand threads, and the other end will have right hand threads. Made of 5/16" x 0.049 round aluminum tubing.

Note: When measuring for your tube length, you will want to allow 1.5" in length for the rod ends (3/4" of length for each end when calculating your eye-to-eye measurement. For instance, an eye-to-eye length of 11.5" would require a 10" swedged tube.

These make great lightweight wing struts

February 25, 2011
Bought these to use on my rear wing for my Limited Street 71 Nova, they worked great. Instead of sPending a bunch of the adjustable struts from chassis shops, used these since I don't plan on moving the wing a great deal (just the wickerbill). Anyway, these worked great, cost was good and the product was nice quality and light. Thanks Speedway...
Yes, I recommend this product.

We apologize but just the rod itself we cannot offer in different lengths. We offer the left and right hand Heim ends to go in the tube or another option would be the double linkage such as number 5601005 or 5600001 which is right and left hand on each end.

You will want to allow 1.5" length for the rod ends (3/4" for each end) when calculating your eye to eye measurement. For instance, an eye to eye length of 11.5" would make use of a 10" swedged tube.

If you allow 1.5 inches for 2 ends, you will have the right length to order.ie.11-1.5=9.5 Don't forget to order jam nuts to lock the heims or it will adjust itself continually.

Yes this tube could be bent, however keep in mind that this is .049" wall thickness aluminum. It will easily be kinked and may not be very rigid once it is bent.
