What's in the Box

Our chrome plated bolt-on Swan Neck is a sleek addition to any street rod. The mirror measures 4" O.D. and includes a rubber mounting pad to protect your paint. Choose Left hand (driver side) or Right hand (passenger side).

  • Mirror Diameter:  4"
  • Arm Length:  5-1/2" 
  • Base of Mirror:  2.25" x 1.25"
  • Mount Stud:  5/16"-18 thread with nut/washer
  • Mount Stud Length:  3/4"
  • Also includes a 2nd alignment stud which is 10-32 x 3/4" long
  • Second stud prevents mirror base from rotating without excessive over tightening

Sorry there are not any installation instructions with this mirror. You can use the rubber mounting pad to mark where to drill the required holes for mounting.

Fit of the swan neck mirror number 91051260 on your 49 Olds may be possible but you will need to insure adequate vision. The arm is only 5.5” tall and the mirror head is 4”. The head can be rotated and the pivot is off center which will aid in getting the mirror high enough. On your door the mirror would need to be mounted on the step below the belt molding and you will need to take some measurements to see if it will go high enough to where the mirror head provides adequate vision.

THE BASE OF THE "SWAN" MIRROR MEASURES 2.25" X 1.25". IT HAS A SINGLE 5/16-18 x 3/4" STUD WITH NUT & WASHER FOR MOUNTING. There is also a second alignment stud that is 10-32 and also 3/4" long This stud keeps mirror base from turning without excessive over tightening Includes rubber mounting pad

If you read the specs you'll see it's 5 1/2" long. The mirror is 4" in diameter.

Yes the stud has a female hex on the end of it and you could remove it if necessary.
