Sorry there are not any installation instructions with this unit. It will need to be mounted to the vehicle with the four bolt holes in the case of the unit and a steering shaft connected from the bottom spline to the steering box as well as one from the top spline to the steering column.

Steer clear number 8451000 can be used with any steering gear or rack in manual or power without issues. It is a 1 to 1 ration so steering gear or rack ratio will not be changed.

These steer clear box are the answer to many hot rodders needs. They have been used for years to give the needed steering clearance needed on modern day hot rods. The product received the product of the year award in 2006 at SEMA. They are NOT however DOT approved or meet NSRA tech requirements.

Can this be used with a Vega steering box and pitman arm on a 1930 Ford Model A with drop axle set up? I imagine a rod being connected from the bottom shaft of this to another vega type steering box and pit man arm for a cross steering set up. Can't find any directions for usage.

This steer clear is intended for use on hot rods with cross steering such as your Model A with a Vega box. This steer clear is mounted just in front of the firewall. A shaft or steering column is connected to the top and allows for leveling out the steering column. The bottom connection will have a U-joint and steering shaft connected to it and routed to the input shaft of your Vega steering box.
