Best fiberglass body yet

October 05, 2014
I have built 5 other glass bodied car and this body is by far the best quality that I have used yet. I paid over $8000 for a Willys body that took 100 hours of body shop labor to get paint ready. This body is almost paint ready to start with, There are virtually no parting seams and the quality of fit between the other
Pros:
  • Excellent price
Yes, I recommend this product.

The 26/27 Roadster body does have a flange around the inside of the body about 1-1 ¼” wide for laying the floor on. If channeling the floor the flange will have to be partly removed.

Part # 9002700 This body has NO floor and a floor will need to be installed to allow mounting to the frame. Depending on whether you are sitting on top of the frame or channeling it down over the frame would dictate location of the floor for fiberglassing into the body. We also offer 7152755 with a flat floor installed for your preference. With floor installed the body will sit flat on the frame and you can use expanding mounts or bolt directly to the frame.

I am mounting the 27 body on a model A frame. It will be mounted on top of the frame. Will the lower rear roll pan hide some of the rear end and axle The rear spring has a six inch kick up with a spring over. Where can I get a dash panel? The lower rear roll panel is part no.900-2721. Thanks Steve

The rear roll pan can cover the end of the frame or the majority of it. So, the amount of the rear end visible from the rear will depend on how far the axle housing sits up into the kick up. With a 3 inch axle housing tube and the spring compressed so that the housing tube sits even with the bottom of the frame then the only thing visible from the rear would be the pumpkin portion of the housing. The dash is usually made from wood or other products per the customers preference and abiltities

Deluxe 1927 T-Bucket Frame Kit
(Part #7151600)

Looking for a little more interior room and a lower profile in your T roadster? Then try our Deluxe '27 T! The all-new Deluxe '27 frame features the same triangulated four-bar rear suspension as the Deluxe T, but with a longer wheelbase and extended rear frame section to accommodate Speedway's high-quality fiberglass '27 T roadster body. The body-and-frame combo can be used to build a hot rod with the same open engine bay and fenderless look of a T-bucket, but offers a lower seating position and a lot more legroom. Try it on for size!

Shown with optional rearend and engine mounts installed. This part number does not include a rear axle housing or engine/transmission mounts (as pictured). If you wish to add these items to your chassis, simply purchase these items along with your frame kit.

All of our T kits are also available with chrome suspension.  This option includes chrome plated: front and rear hairpins, rear coilovers, front axle, front leaf spring, front shocks, steering arms, tie rod, drag link, and related hardware.

T-Bucket Assembly Manual
(Part #715900)

This manual shows you how to assemble one of our 1923 T-bucket or 1927 T Roadster kits. It's full of photos and step-by-step instructions to clearly illustrate the assembly process. Manual now includes chapters on installing the engine and drivetrain, preparing and intalling the body, windshield, wiring, and even how to install upholstery.

If you're considering a T-bucket purchase, you can purchase this manual first to see what it takes to build it yourself. The manual's price is fully refundable with the purchase of a 1923 or 1927 T kit.

NOTE:    This manual provides detailed examples on the assembly of a traditional T-bucket.  The manual does not provide in detail the assembly of our Tribute-T, but can be used as a generic reference to cover basic concepts.

Universal Expanding Body Mounts
(Part #715BM401)

If you are building a lightweight car like a "T" or an "A", mounting the body may present a problem. These neat expanding rubber universal body mounts allow you to drill a 3/4" hole in the top of the frame, insert a 3/8" coarse bolt, tighten, then the body is mounted.

Not recommended for cars newer than 1934.
