Info

These nifty 3-1/2" diameter mirrors clip to your wind wing glass. They work great as a secondary blind-spot mirror, or as an alternative to drilling into your body for a stud mount mirror.

windwing mirror

May 27, 2016
Actually purchased inexpensive convex mirrors that use double sided tape and rotate 360 degrees. Put them on top of existing mirror and dramatically improved field of vision. If you have no mirror, this is a good solution which is made well
Pros:
  • Easy Install
Cons:
  • Adjustment Is Limited
  • Price
Yes, I recommend this product.

Fit the bill perfectly

After reviewing various options for right and left add on rear view mirrors for my superformance cobra I settled on "wing mirrors". The classic reproductions offered by Speedway are high quality and low cost compared to the manufacturer's after market mirrors.
Pros:
  • Easy To Use
Yes, I recommend this product.

How do these mount? I have a 1947 Lincoln Continental Convertible with side vent wing windows with chrome frame trim about 3/8" thick. Is this what you refer to as a wind wing? A picture or dimensions of clamp mechanism would help greatly. There are dozens or hundreds of old Lincoln owners who would consider these if application works. thanks

Yes the vent wing and wind wing are the same just stated different. The mirror clamps to the vent wing with a clam-shell kind of a clamp. It opens up to 1/2". It utilizes a bolt and nut to provide the clamping force needed to hold it in place. It does come with inserts to separate the clamp from the surface it gets clamped to.
