What's in the Box

Info

You can't go wrong with this sleek black powder coated steel throttle pedal. Splined pivot hub allows easy indexing of arm for use in nearly any vehicle.

Width of mounting base .590"

Length of mounting base 2.430"

Centerline of mounting holes 1.90"

Overall width at pivot point 1.42"

Spoon pad 2.19" x 1.35"

Overall length adjusted straight 11.80"

Linkage arm center of pivot to end 5.125"

Pedal arm center of pivot to end 6.675"

Pedal bushings are plastic.

Notes

  1. The arm on the side with the small set screw (1.5 mm) is splined to the central shaft. This allows the installer to tailor the arm/pedal angle to suit their installation.
  2. The countersunk capscrew (4 mm) which retains the side arm is installed at the factory with a small impact tool and can be quite tight. A palm-sized (or butterfly) impact wrench, or an allen wrench with a longer handle than is provided with the gas pedal, may be needed to remove this retaining screw for the first time.

I purchased it for a Rock Buggy build. I couldn't justify spending the cash for a nice billet pedal assembly. Great price and does the job.
Pros:
  • Simple But Nicely Made
Cons:
  • None
Yes, I recommend this product.

Great item

Very well made item. Good quality but you will need your own nuts and bolts to mount it. Not a problem as I wanted to use Allen head bolts anyway.
Yes, I recommend this product.

I bought this pedal and the movement is VERY stiff. I don't believe a throttle return spring would be able to return it to the off position. Is there an adjustment I don't see?

We apologize on the stiff operation of the pedal assembly. It may possibly be clearance in the pivot area from the thickness of the powder coat. These pedals are clockable to achieve desired throttle travel and if you would try loosening the allen head screws holding the pedal together to see if it helps ease stiffness and if not take apart and see if the powder coat may be the issue. If you are not able to get it freed up let our customer service department know and we can get a replacement for you.

The spoon shaped pad is welded to the pedal arm but the pedal arm is bolted to the throttle linkage arm. That can be loosened and clocked as needed for installation purposes.

Throttle pedals such as the black powder coated spoon pedal and others from Speedway and Lokar have a plastic bushing that does not require a lubricant.
