Works Great - Easy to Install

June 08, 2016
I used this cable to replace a worn out throttle cable on my Murray Harddrive go kart that has a non-original engine. I couldn't find an exact replacement, so I bought this universal cable instead. It installed perfectly. The loop on the pedal end makes it easy to install just about anywhere using the provided bolt and washers. The provided clips worked well for holding the cable housing in place, and they were much easier to install and remove than the original cable was. The plain cable end that goes to the throttle was exactly what my Predator 212 engine was expecting to receive and connected to the throttle perfectly. Overall, it works really well.
Pros:

  • Universal
  • Easy
Yes, I recommend this product.

These cables can be shaped and bent at almost any angle as long as the radius at the bend is NOT sharp. As long as the radius at the bend is not tighter than a 3” radius the cable should function fine. Tighter than that will create bind and shorten the expectancy of the cable.

With this being a univeral cable used for all sorts of installations each one will be a little different. There are clamps supplied to hold the outer housing in place on a bracket that you fabricate. Also an adapter is supplied that can be used on the non-looped end of the cable to attach to your carburetor.
