What's in the Box

These S/B Chevy tight-fit headers fit even difficult applications where space is limited. For round port S/B Chevy.  1-1/2" primary with 2-1/2" collector. These block hugger headers are ceramic coated headers. Complete with reducers, gaskets, and bolts. These shorty headers are designed to make difficult installations easy.

  • Drivers side collector is approx. 2" from pan rail
  • Passenger side collector is approx. 1/2" from pan rail
  • Flange thickness is approx. 0.212"

Will NOT fit angled plug heads.

Notes

Armor Hot Coating (AHC) is a heat resistant, ceramic coating applied to the outside of the header. This coating will reflect heat, which helps retain more heat within the header tube while simultaneously speeding up the exhaust flow. Not only will this coating help you make more horsepower, it also keeps your headers rust-free, looking great, and lasting longer (when properly maintained).  If you are looking for a show-quality finish for your headers, this is it! Our AHC will withstand exhaust temperatures of up to 1300¢ª F.

Warranties

AHC Warning: AHC coatings will burn and be damaged at exhaust temperatures over 1300 degrees. A lean fuel mixture can generate exhaust temperatures exceeding 1700-1900 degrees. If the coating is damaged due to a lean condition, the coating will not be warranted, but can be recoated for a fee.

Not legal for sale or use in California on pollution controlled vehicles.

The flange thicness is .21". Standard spark plugs should work fine with these headers.

Will these work for a jeep motor swap? I am installing a 5.3 Vortec into a 1998 Jeep TJ. Do you have any feed back if these will work for my application? Most web sites are suggesting a center dump header.

Headers number 9300100H are for the standard small block Chevy and not applicable to the 5.3 which is a LS series engine requiring part number 9300114H. Fit verification for your application is not available but with a couple of measurements you can determine fit. From the head surface out 4” to the furthest point and from the top of the flange to the bottom of the collector is 11” and this is directly below the center two ports.

AHC is Armored Hot Coat. This is a chrome looking coating but does not discolor like chrome. It will also not polish like chrome, it is more of a dull looking finish. AHC is good up to temperatures of 1100 degrees.

Straight plugs are perpendicular to the heads (come straight out the side) where angled plugs are not perpendicular to the heads (come out at an angle). On an S10 frame with the conversion plates you will not have motor mount clearance issues but crossmember clearance will be an issue. We would not recommend these headers for you application. See our part number 41869520 for S-10 V-8 headers.

The most universal shorty header just got better! Now made of durable stainless steel, these tight-fit headers feature a heavy duty 3/8" thick flange to minimize warpage with 1-5/8" diameter primary tubes and 2-1/2" diameter collectors. Block hugger headers are ideal for street rod engine swaps and can make tight installations easy. They tuck in close to the engine block to provide clearance for frame rails, steering boxes and motor mounts, but please see dimension chart to verify fit for your application.

The head flange features tall oval ports, so they will fit a variety of small block Chevy cylinder heads (EXCEPT angle plug heads). The collectors exit parallel with the oil pan rail to provide maximum ground clearance. Headers include gaskets, collector reducers with a 2" diameter outlet, and stainless steel installation hardware.
