Notes

Armor Hot Coating (AHC) is a heat resistant, ceramic coating applied to the outside of the header. This coating will reflect heat, which helps retain more heat within the header tube while simultaneously speeding up the exhaust flow. Not only will this coating help you make more horsepower, it also keeps your headers rust-free, looking great, and lasting longer (when properly maintained).  If you are looking for a show-quality finish for your headers, this is it! Our AHC will withstand exhaust temperatures of up to 1300¢ª F.

Specs

Warranties

AHC Warning: AHC coatings will burn and be damaged at exhaust temperatures over 1300 degrees. A lean fuel mixture can generate exhaust temperatures exceeding 1700-1900 degrees. If the coating is damaged due to a lean condition, the coating will not be warranted, but can be recoated for a fee.

Not legal for sale or use in California on pollution controlled vehicles.

Will these work for a jeep motor swap? I am installing a 5.3 Vortec into a 1998 Jeep TJ. Do you have any feed back if these will work for my application? Most web sites are suggesting a center dump header.

Headers number 9300100H are for the standard small block Chevy and not applicable to the 5.3 which is a LS series engine requiring part number 9300114H. Fit verification for your application is not available but with a couple of measurements you can determine fit. From the head surface out 4” to the furthest point and from the top of the flange to the bottom of the collector is 11” and this is directly below the center two ports.

AHC is Armored Hot Coat. This is a chrome looking coating but does not discolor like chrome. It will also not polish like chrome, it is more of a dull looking finish. AHC is good up to temperatures of 1100 degrees.

Straight plugs are perpendicular to the heads (come straight out the side) where angled plugs are not perpendicular to the heads (come out at an angle). On an S10 frame with the conversion plates you will not have motor mount clearance issues but crossmember clearance will be an issue. We would not recommend these headers for you application. See our part number 41869520 for S-10 V-8 headers.

These headers have round ports. SBC tight fit universal headers for rectangular port heads (not for angle plug) are pt # 930-0101H AHC coated. SBC tight fit universal headers for standard port (angle plug heads) are pt # 930-8037H AHC coated.

If you have the stock suspension in the front on your pickup the block hugger headers should clear as there is no cross member under the engine. To verify if you have 4" out from the head to clear the pipes to your original steering you should be ok.

Sorry we are not certain as to the fitment on a van. You will need to compare the dimensional info listed to your space available to see if these would be a possibility.

930-0100H tight fit headers go out from the head surface 4" before wrapping back inwards toward the block and the collector flange is 10" down from the center two ports making it very difficult to attach the continuing exhaust. You will likely need a more rear drop header and suggest checking dimensions on header set 930-0108H.
