I received your question regarding valve springs for your particular application. I would suggest part number 180-671515, SBC 1.250" dia. They will accommodate up to .550 lift when assembled with an installed height of 1.725". Seat pressure is 100# at 1.725", open pressure is 280# at 1.250". You may also be interested in Valve Spring Retainers, part number 915-39741.

How much lift will these work with? I see the description says up to .55 lift. Is that what cam companies call 550 lift ? Going to use thumper cam with no more than 500 lift. Will these work? I am trying to build on a budget and price is great. Engine is 1990 350 chevy Thanks

These springs are installed on a set of IMCA heads I recently purchased. We run a sportmod engine with a solid cam and .550 lift. Is this the spring you reccoment or another?

These springs typically are not good for .550" lift. You may want to look toward valve springs 577810107. They have 125 lbs. of seat pressure and 325 lbs. of open pressure and will easily handle .550" lift. You will also need to make sure the load ratings of these springs are compatible with you camshaft requirements.

I have a stock GM Replacement 350 4bolt motor. Are these an OEM replacement or will any grinding be required.

These springs will work on any head accepting 1.25 diameter springs and handle cams up to .550 lift.
