picture is misleading

February 23, 2013
the forward brackets are misleading in the pictures, it looks as though the bars would go in between the brackets which would be stronger but they actually mount on the side very lame.
No, I would not recommend this product.

Is it safe to assume the 21 1/2 inch rod length is eye to eye with the adjustable eye screwed all the way in? Other vendors are more specific regarding this specification. Thanks.

91649055 four bar kit has two options of TA for the narrower frames and 32/34 for the wider frames. It does not have a horsepower rating but we have not heard of any issues from customers using high horsepower engines in heavy cars run on the strip.

With just the purchase of a four bar kit Speedway will not weld the brackets on the rear end. With differences in frame widths and ride heights correct location would be difficult to determine. If you buy one of our chassis with the rear end option then the brackets are welded on as a free service as we know when in our jig the location and pinion angle would be correct.

On our four bar kit part # 91649050 it is possible to shorten the bars and rethread them. You would need to drill the inside of the tube to the right diameter for the tap and then have a 5/8"-18 RH tap to cut the new threads into the tube.

How do I adjust the pinion angle when I install this item? Do I only adjust the top bars or do I adjust the top and bottom bars? Is this done by taking them off or do they stay on and I adjust the joints by turning them in or out? I am assuming that if I adjust the pinion up I only turn the top bars, etc? Thank you

The lower bar will have more effect on pinon angle than the upper will. In order to get the proper pinion angle you can adjust just the lower or both bars as necessary. Be sure to keep an eye on your wheel base as you are making these adjustments.
