This pump will supply 140 GPH of fuel volume. For most street dual 4 barrel applications it will be just fine. If you are dealing with a 1000+ horsepower dual Dominator setup then you may want to look for a higher flow fuel pump.

This fuel pump comes with 3/8" hose barb fittings to clamp hose to. It does not accept standard thread fittings. If you need to use AN fittings or something other than the hose barb that is provided with this pump you would be better off with the Holley pump.

Do you have to gravity feed to this fuel pump, or can it self prime? Fuel cell only has top feed fittings. I cannot mount the pump below the fuel cell unless I mount it 4' away from the fuel cell on the frame, but the pump would still have to self prime.

The best location for mounting any electric fuel pump is the rear of the vehicle. The inlet and outlet of the pump must be mounted below the lowest point of the tank. This is necessary to allow for an adequate fuel supply. The pump is designed to push fuel and not designed to suck fuel out of the tank. It needs to be gravity-fed or if it’s pulling from the top of the tank, it needs to develop a siphon feed to the pump. The pump should be mounted on the chassis, in a vertical position with the pump motor on top. Avoid exposure of the pump and fuel lines to moving parts and to any hot areas, such as the exhaust manifold. The pump should not be mounted in a closed area, such as the vehicle’s trunk.

The description says it recommends using the hose barb ends that ocme with the pump. What are the thread sizes and/or what type of ends do I need if I want to have male 8AN hookups on each end? Thanks...

Willys Carbs WCD891 Alcohol Fuel Pressure Regulator
(Part #800891)

Willy's alcohol fuel regulator features a special diaphragm that uses engine vacuum to automatically regulate fuel pressure. At idle or deceleration, when manifold vacuum is high, the fuel pressure regulator opens and drops fuel pressure for clean restarts and keeps carburetor from flooding or blubbering in the corner. As the throttle is opened, manifold vacuum drops which closes the fuel pump regulator and raises pressure for proper straightaway fuel mixture.

This bypass fuel regulator is designed to be used with a piston-style mechanical fuel pump only.  Alcohol regulator has a -8 AN O-ring female inlet port and a -8 AN male return fitting. Requires a fuel return line and vacuum port (base plate or intake manifold) for installation.

Longacre 43600 Low Pressure Shut-Off Switch
(Part #6044360)
This automatic shut-off switch shuts off the ignition or an electric fuel pump when pressure drops below 12 psi. Prevents engine damage, helps prevent fires, and keeps the motor from starting until oil-pressure rises. Should be used with a momentary bypass switch (913-64381).
