910-31958 Instructions (PDF)

Brake kit fits:

  • 1964-72 Chevelle, Malibu, GTO, Lemans, Cutlass, 442, Skylark, GS
  • 1967-69 Camaro, Firebird
  • 1968-74 Nova, Ventura, Omega, Apollo
  • WARNING - Kit will not work with 14" wheels. Must be 15" wheels or larger.  This brake kit 'must' be used with your 'disc brake spindles' our our new spindles (910-34900).
  • The difference between disc brake and drum brake spindles is at boss at the top where the barcket would mount. On drum brake spindles, this boss stuck out farther than disc brake spindles. Approximately .610" would have to be removed from this boss to work with these spindles.
  • Machining will not work with A-Body Pontiac, Olds or Buick drum brake spindles.

Satisfied Chevelle

By Rob from Macon, GA on 4/8/2010
Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

Installed on my 65 Chevelle. Peforms very well. Can't beat this kit for the money. Minor modification needed to spindles -- (spindles may not have been original to car). Also, used proportioning valve from Speedway and it worked perfectly.

Service & Delivery comments:

Prompt delivery. Order was complete and in good condition.

Awesome Product for an awesome price

By FMS Racing from Klamath Falls, OR on 6/2/2010
Pros:
Easy to follow instructio, Perfect Fit
Best Uses:
67 F-body
Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

The hardest part of the whole project was getting someone to powder coat the spindles. Assembly was a breeze and the whole package fits under my 15" American Racing Rims. I could not be more pleased and recommend purchasing if you want some stopping power for a good price.

I can hit the brake now and know that I am going to stop and it will be straight......unlike that drum brake pull to whichever side it decides ti go!

Q:

I plan on putting this on a 67 Firebird which will be a daily driver for my son. When it comes time to replace the pads can they be purchased locally or do we have to order online? Just need to know so that we allow enough lead time when the pads start to wear. Thanks

Q:

A previous question asked was about it fitting a 63 Nova? If it has the original drum brake spindles isn't all that has to be done is the top boss milled down about 0.6 inches? Aren't the bearing sizes the same?
