These small-block Chevy tight-fit headers are the most universal steel tube headers available. They even fit difficult applications where space is limited. They are a favorite for street rods, as well as many 1950's and 1960's cars and vintage trucks.

  • Compact design
  • Will NOT fit angle plug heads
  • Includes reducers, gaskets and bolts

These headers come with an attractive and protective Armor Hot Coating, but are also available plain or chrome plated.

Header Dimensions (GIF)

  1. Can be used with most oil filter systems and transmission/starter combinations.
  2. Will not fit '55-'57 Chevy cars, Camaros, or other modern vehicles which have a crossmember below the engine's center two exhaust ports.
  3. Will not clear a "clam shell" style motor mount (found on 1973-newer Chevy cars & trucks).

Armor Hot Coating (AHC) is a heat resistant, ceramic coating applied to the outside of the header. This coating will reflect heat, which helps retain more heat within the header tube while simultaneously speeding up the exhaust flow. Not only will this coating help you make more horsepower, it also keeps your headers rust-free, looking great, and lasting longer (when properly maintained).  If you are looking for a show-quality finish for your headers, this is it! Our AHC will withstand exhaust temperatures of up to 1300®® F.

  • Header Dimensions (GIF)

AHC Warning: AHC coatings will burn and be damaged at exhaust temperatures over 1300 degrees. A lean fuel mixture can generate exhaust temperatures exceeding 1700-1900 degrees. If the coating is damaged due to a lean condition, the coating will not be warranted, but can be recoated for a fee.

Chrome Warning: Due to a revised chroming process brought on by recent EPA regulations and high labor costs, today's chrome is not the quality of days gone by. Be Aware: Exhaust components which are chrome plated are now much more susceptible to blueing, blistering, peeling & corrosion. No warranty or returns on chrome exhaust items once them have been installed.

I couldn't beleive that the material that the headers were made of was as thick. Really nice looking set on my old truck. Really cool to get the gaskets and bolts also.

Will these fit a 1927 Tall T with a 283 small block? My rail dimensions are 22 inches on the inside.Using biscuit type engine mountings. I'm using a Corvair reversed steering box set up CCR style.
