nice chrome

i was not going to put my old painted piece back on so i ordered this. the chrome is nice but the metal is very light and bends very easily. still it is good for the price.

Does the timing cover have to be removed to install a timing indicator pointer? When the motor was rebuilt it was left off. Now the timing cannot be set.

To install part #5504597 simply remove two bolts from timing cover on lower left side and place pointer on outside of cover, reinstall bolts. You should always check timimg marks on pointer with balancer to make sure engine timing is correct

The pointer is further away from the crankshaft centerline on the 8" pointer versus the 7" pointer.
