Problem solved

January 08, 2016
Even though these extensions were 1/2" short the customer service fully understood my problem and replacement parts were returned to me within three days. Brandon got these turned around in what I think was record time and no hassle. Appears this short length is the result of having several suppliers. I have made 46 purchases over the last few years and this was the only time for a complaint, totally satisfied,Jim
Pros:
  • great customer service
Cons:
  • Parts Manufactured Short
Yes, I recommend this product.

Nice product

September 09, 2013
Took the nasty raw sound out of my open headers, much more street friendly! Chrome is nice and the fit was good, I used stainless band clamps to secure and all is well! Recommend for street use.
Yes, I recommend this product.

They work but have issues.

September 05, 2013
First set I bought had terrible chrome blemishes. I had a cruise-in that weekend so thankfully I was able to rotate the worst of it to the inside, and Speedway discounted them for me. Then I'm not sure if it was the tolerance on the header collector (purchased from Speedway# or the inside diameter on the extension, but even though it was clamped down as hard as possible it slipped off while driving and was ruined. I purchased another pair #chrome still had blemishes but not as bad), installed them, and noticed they were slipping off as well so I had to drill and put set-screws through them to keep them on.
Pros:
  • look good when installed
Cons:
  • poor chrome and fit
Yes, I recommend this product.

They came nicely packaged but were very difficult to get over my new headers, even after spreading them. the flange should have been a 1/4 inch bigger.

Ronnie, The 3-1/2 inch is the diameter of the inlet, the 20 inch is overall length. Sorry I do not have a diagram handy for you, but should give some idea of the size of these pipes.

What is the gauge of the metal?

Mine measured .085 with some carbon buidup , that would convert to 14 gauge. They are quite hefty with the glasspacks installed, they are up to standard for a daily driver, more than enough for a hot rod. The chrome is nice, it is triple plated.

Jason
These are made from 16 gauge, approximately .064" thick
