What's in the Box

Info

These extensions are designed for use with "T" roadster headers. Professionally cut and mandrel bent extensions slip over 3-1/2" diameter collector pipes. Features a 12-1/2" perforated glasspack muffler. Mufflers are included but are not installed. Glass packs can only be installed one way. Simply slide the muffler inside of the extensions for installation. Muffler has a 1.900" I.D. Features a ceramic coating for superior protection.

Item Details

AHC Coated on the outside only

Notes

Armor Hot Coating (AHC) is a heat resistant, ceramic coating applied to the outside of the header. This coating will reflect heat, which helps retain more heat within the header tube while simultaneously speeding up the exhaust flow. Not only will this coating help you make more horsepower, it also keeps your headers rust-free, looking great, and lasting longer (when properly maintained).  If you are looking for a show-quality finish for your headers, this is it! Our AHC will withstand exhaust temperatures of up to 1300° F.

AHC coated headers will burn and be damaged at exhaust temperatures above 1300 degrees. An excessively lean fuel mixture can generate exhaust temperatures over 1700-1900 degrees. If the coating is burned (which will look like a dull gray) due to a lean condition, it is not warrantied, but the headers can be recoated.

Nice product

June 19, 2015
Very happy with purchase, but the hex head bolt on the clamp needs to be changed to an allen head for ease of assembly. I changed mine out myself.
Pros:
  • Easy assembly
  • Looks good
Cons:
  • Hex Head Clamp Bolt
Yes, I recommend this product.

manufacture quality

May 27, 2012
The only coplaint I have is that one of the extensions has what looks to be manufacture dents where it slips over and tightens on the headr. Its unfortunate because they are right on top. I didn't notice until installed and car had was running. Did not try to return at that point.
Yes, I recommend this product.

The mufflers should be installed so that the louvers on the inside of the muffler are exposed (open side) toward the outlet side of the extension. The fiberglass wrap should be left on the muffler to help with noise dampening.
