                Flame cut steel upper steering arm for '37-'48 Ford spindles (with 3-3/8" mount centers). This design is available in 6-1/4" or 7-3/4" lengths. The longer 7-3/4" arms permit a tighter left turn when using large diameter front tires or front wheels with a deep reverse, and it also slows the steering rate for greater control. Tapered end accepts 11/16" tie rod ends. 

    NOTE: Upper steering arms allow the attachment of a drag link to the LH (driver's side) spindle. The arms attach with bolts through the upper 2 backing-plate-mounting holes on spindle.

    Early Ford Flame cut Design are 6-1/4".

    Upper steering arms allow the attachment of a drag link to the LH (driver's side) spindle.
    The arms attach with bolts through the upper 2 backing-plate-mounting holes on spindle.

    These zinc plated arms are designed to have a 5/8" bolt run through the arm.

    These arms are garage sale clearance items because we have discontinued them from our current product line.

    For 1949-54 Chevy passenger car spindles. The arms attach with bolts through the lower 2 backing plate mounting holes (3-1/8" center-to-center) on spindle. The distance between the mounting holes to the center of the tie rod hole is 6 inches.

    This steering arm is garage sale priced because it is the left side only and it has been painted grey.

    Don't know if you ever thought about this or not, but the steering arms on some cars were a different length depending if they were power or manual steering. The manual cars had a longer arm and if you convert them to power steering you still have slow steering. These forged arms are shorter (faster) than manual steering arms.

    Steer V style steering arm from Total Performance. The two holes on one end are for 7/16" hardware and have a 3-1/8" center to center measurement. The single hole is for 1/2" hardware. Arm is 6-1/4" in total length and 4-1/4" in total width.

    These forged steel steering arms will attach to all 1937-48 Ford spindles but their greater drop, 3-3/4" from spindle mount holes means they work best on 1935-48 Ford cars (with spring-over front axle). Clears most radius rods and wishbones. These steering arms accept 11/16" Ford 7 degree "tapered" tie rod ends (both the top and bottom are tapered to allow tie rods to mount above or below arm as needed). You can drill-through with a 5/8" bit to use spherical rod ends.

    Use a 46" eye-to-eye tie rod link when used with a 48" wide axle with Ford spindles.
