    Features heavy wall 21-1/2" rods with plain steel brackets. Exclusive sandwich-style brackets give greater bar support and incorporate a multi-position lower coil-over mount. 

    Complete kit includes: mild steel rods, steel brackets, bushed rod ends, and hardware. Lower coil-over shock mount stud not included. The nuts & bolts supplied in this kit are NOT polished or plated.

    • Rod length is 21-1/2"
    • Center-to-center of 4-bar eyelets is 5.5"
    • Bracket width is 1.39"

    This kit comes in two varieties:

    • TA - to fit narrow frames such as Model T or Model A
    • 3234 - to fit wider frames such as 1932-1934 Ford

    Note:  Four bar rear suspension kits require the use of a side to side control such as a panhard bar or a watts link component.

    This rear suspension kit is loaded with high quality components from Speedway and Carrera. Kit includes a steel panhard bar, chrome plated Carrera coil-over shock assemblies, bare steel 32" radius rods, and all mounting brackets and hardware. The Carrera 3-way adjustable, gas pressurized and radial tuned shocks provide an excellent ride. Welding is required for assembly.

    These nylon bushings for 4-bar ends are perfect for your custom build. Bushing fits rod ends with a 1.125" I.D. and rod end width of 1.485". The steel sleeve I.D. is 0.625", O.D. is 0.815" and the length of the sleeve is 1.76". Kit includes a set of 8 bushings with 8 sleeves.

    Note: These bushings are not a replacement for Speedway 4-bar rod ends as they are wider. If you are trying to use this bushing kit with a Speedway 4-bar rod end, please note that it will not be a direct fit. You will need to trim 0.435" off the overall width to match the 1.050" width of the bushing that came with the Speedway rod end.

    This parallel 4-bar kit is designed for our 1935-1940 Ford frame (916-57049), but it will also work with a boxed original OEM frame. Rear brackets have 3 mounting holes for adjustable ride height. Adjustable bars have a 1" O.D. with urethane bushings and all necessary hardware. Plain finish, welding required.

                Flame cut steel upper steering arm for '37-'48 Ford spindles (with 3-3/8" mount centers). This design is available in 6-1/4" or 7-3/4" lengths. The longer 7-3/4" arms permit a tighter left turn when using large diameter front tires or front wheels with a deep reverse, and it also slows the steering rate for greater control. Tapped 5/8" end accepts spherical rod ends. 

    NOTE: Upper steering arms allow the attachment of a drag link to the LH (driver's side) spindle. The arms attach with bolts through the upper 2 backing-plate-mounting holes on spindle.

    These front suspension packages make it easier to begin transforming your Model A frame into a rolling chassis. Kits include a 48" I-beam axle, radius rods, leaf spring and shackles. Kit works well with the SM300 Pro Shocks (shocks not included).

    All I-beam axles use the Ford spindle. We have brake kits with both Chevy and Ford bolt patterns available for the Ford spindle.

    The brake kit you select will determine the final track width (hub to hub). The brake kits intended for this application (the Wilwood or our 702-4475 Metric brake kit) produce a final track width of about 56-1/4". Some of the other brake kits (like the 916-31903), which are not recommended for this application, would increase the track width by over an inch.

    Save yourself searching and confusion with these complete 1928-31 Ford Model A front suspension kits. Each kit includes a 48" wide, 3" drop tube axle, our famous urethane-bushed 21" long four bar assembly, perch bolts, lower shock mounts, spring shackles, Super Glide spring and the necessary brackets and hardware needed for assembly. (Spring and frame brackets are not stainless steel). 

    Kit requires 1949-54 Chevy passenger car spindles.

    Each kit includes:

    • 48" wide (kingpin-to-kingpin) steel tube axle, 3" drop
    • Urethane-bushed 21" long 4-bar assembly
    • Forged steel spring perch bolts

    This kit is application specific to the Model A Frame part #916-57045 and will not work with or apply to any other chassis or frame configuration as this kit does NOT include the frame 4-bar chassis brackets.  If you do not have or are not working with the Model A frame # 916-57045, you should not consider this kit.  When working with any other chassis or frame assembly other than # 916-57045, please consider the 4-bar kits suggested below, #s 916-49055 & 916-49055.

    4-bar rear suspension kit # 916-49057 will only include plain or polished 4-bars, rear axle brackets, lower coilover mounts and a plain Panhard bar as pictured at left. Welding required.
