                If you're hanging a common internally regulated GM alternator on your  ride, you had better cough up the bucks for this problem solver. If you just wire-up  the alternator with any old "parts store" plug you will have a nasty little  surprise in store for you... the engine won't shut off! 

    When wired correctly the alternator will back feed juice to the ignition switch and keep your hot rod running. NOT COOL! This harness fixes that problem and will make you the hero of the drive-in.

    This adapter plug does not work with "one-wire" alternators. It is not needed. This adapter plug works with GM alternators with the built-in regulator, typically from 1971 or newer cars and trucks, like our 91367163 or 91067150.

    Late 1950's and early 1960's S/B Chevys had the generator attached to the left exhaust manifold. With headers installed, our brackets are needed to reattach your generator/alternator. Bracket base attaches at #1 cylinder exhaust port and works in conjunction with slide bracket 720-9008.

They are ideal for custom builds, street rods, and tube chassis cars that do not have power steering and work with short ('55-'68 S/B Chevy) water pumps. These brackets will support a standard full-size GM alternator which is sold separately.  Includes bracket, bolts and spacers.

It has the look of an original generator, but is really a 12-volt, negative-ground alternator that produces 60 amps at idle and 75 amps going down the road. This model is designed to fit 1949-1953 Ford & Mercury Cars and 1948-1953 Ford Trucks with Flathead V8s and features a simple one-wire hookup.

    We offer this one wire alternator in black painted or polished aluminum, and both include stock-appearing mounting brackets (the stock fan carrier bolts to that bracket) and pulleys that accept wide 5/8” belts.

    These accessory drive brackets from Holley are great when swapping a GM LS engine into a muscle car, truck, hot rod or other vehicle. These brackets were designed to deliver a factory style appearance, correct belt alignment, and factory stability.  Holley's kits supply the required brackets and hardware needed for installation.

    To determine correct application, these three easy steps will help get you going:

    • Step one is to determine your belt alignment based on your crank Pulley position on the engine you have.
    • Step two is to choose the Holley accessory drive brackets that you need (A/C, Alt & P/S or both).
    • Step three is to see which Holley installation kit your set–up requires to line up your accessories with your crank Pulley position. An application specific installation kit (part # 425211, 425212, or 425213) is REQUIRED for most applications.

    Note: When referring to guide links below, keep in mind that part numbers shown are MFG numbers without "425" prefix.

    This Offy alternator pulley is designed to fit on a GM alternator and is retained by a washer and nut. It accepts the standard 1932-38 flatheads with the single 5/8” belt width and allows you to bolt on an original style 1932-38 Ford fan.

    • 1-3/16" thick
    • Raised surface that pilots the fan is 2-1/8" O.D.
    • Fan mount bolt circle is 4 on 3-1/8"
    • Fan bolt holes are 1/4"-28
    • NOT a press on style pulley

    Note: The powergen uses the same shaft size as the GM alternators and this pulley should work without any problems.
