            No cutting or grinding is  necessary with these direct bolt-in subframes for your 1962-67 Nova/Chevy II. They use all the same stock holes  that held the original IFS subframe which includes sturdy upper firewall  support  tubes from the subframe rails. This adds a lot of strength to the   subframe structure and supports the 8-bolts that hold the lower rails to  the “chassis”. The   firewall support tubes bolt directly to the  firewall using existing factory   holes.  These leaf-spring   suspensions include everything  you'll need to install it into a stock Nova   chassis in a weekend.

    Stock '64-'66 Mustang strut rods used a flimsy rubber bushing to control fore & aft movement of the wheel during suspension travel. This design was prone to deflection during hard acceleration and braking. A more positive approach to the problem would be to install an adjustable strut rod kit with a spherical rod end in place of the rubber bushing. Global Wests strut rods are designed as a bolt on application. No welding or frame modifications are required. When using a strut rod design of this nature, the deflection is totally eliminated. The suspension no longer deflects fore and aft. The vehicle now sees a lower a-arm rather than a two component system (strut rod & lower arm).

Inconsistent, weak springs can cause a multitude of handling problems , and, in some cases, dangerous situations.     AFCO Low Friction Ball Joints are designed with 2 ft. lbs. of resistance, the force required to move the stud of the ball joint.  Compare this with standard replacement joints, with as high as 50 ft. lbs. of resistance.  A difference you can feel!

    It is critical to handling that suspension components be as free as possible to move.  Low friction ball joints allow the suspension to give rather than allowing the tire to bounce over rough surfaces.  Low tire pressures magnify the need to minimize friction in the suspension.

    These 36" wrap around axle straps have a protective sleeve and are great for secure trailering. Straps are sold each and are available black, blue, purple, red or yellow. These tie downs rated at 10,000 lb. breaking strength and 3,333 lb. working load limit. Measures 2" wide.

    NOTE:  The yellow version of this strap is 33" in length, all other colors are 36" in length.

    These 1968-1972 GM A-Body lower A-arms are completely new units. New stampings do not include bushings. All arms retain stock suspension geometry.

    Use Moog ball joint style K5103 for stock spindle or K6145 for other GM spindles. Use round polyurethane or steel bushings available separately (see Specs tab).
