    The cap and rotor of any ignition system must be considered mainte­nance items. Just as you change the oil and filter of your car, you should always replace the cap and rotor as a set. To make things easy, we now offer these Cap and Rotor Replacement Kits.

    This MSD Cap (MSD #84335) fits all of the MSD Distributors that use the GM Socket sytle cap (MSD #8437). It will also fit GM Distributors that use a "window" style cap. 

    Cap MSD# 8433:

    • DuPont Rynite material
    • Spark plug-style terminals with improved locking connection
    • Optional wire retainer with caps to lock the wires in place
    • HEI-Type terminals, rather than socket-type
    • Can be used in place of the older design

    Rotor MSD# 8467:

    • Standard on most MSD Pro-Billet Distributors
    • Injection molded from Rynite material for incredible strength and high dielectric properties
    • Stainless steel/brass rotor trip - screwed in place to handle extreme rpm and high heat conditions
    • Deep molded vanes to stir up the air inside the cap to prevent spark ionization
    • Screws are set deep in the housing to prevent spark scatter

    For anyone with a 392 HEMI, they're going to be excited to hear about MSD's new Pro-Billet Distributor. The Pro-Billet 392 Distributor, is based on a CNC-machined billet aluminum housing for incredible strength and precision tolerances.

    • The distributor shaft is guided by a sealed ball bearing while accurate trigger signals to fire the MSD Ignition Control
    • The HEMI distributor features MSD's easy-to-adjust mechanical advance and is supplied with different springs and stop bushings
    • There is also a vacuum advance canister that will help with economy during cruises and throttle transitions
    • The distributor is supplied with MSD's heavy duty race rotor, distributor cap and spark plug wire retainer

    Instructions

    Note: An MSD Ignition Control such as a 6AL is required and will plug directly into the magnetic pickup of the distributor.

                      This new Pro-Billet Distributor features an adjustable cam sync pickup as well as a magnetic pickup inside the distributor to trigger the ignition control. The Hall-effect sync pickup is adjustable up to 60° BTDC to meet the needs of most aftermarket ECUs and even is crimped with a common 2-pin Weathertight connector. A great new feature is the two piece adjustable rotor that is supplied. This assists in setting up the proper rotor phasing for accurate timing and spark control. Each Cam Sync Distributor is topped with MSD's adjustable two piece rotor to provide rotor phasing adjustments. This distributor must be used with an MSD 6, 7, 8 or 10-Series Ignition.
