With the increased rpm, additional spring pressure and aggressive cam designs of today’s performance engines, premature cam wear is a major problem. COMP Cams has answered the challenge with the new Oil Injection solid mechanical lifters that feature a precision 0.012” oil feed hole in the cam face. The added oiling capacity creates a boundary layer that protects both the lifter and cam lobe from excessive wear.  

COMP Cams lifters are manufactured to the highest standards and when used with their oil additive, will give you the best results.

    High Energy Hydraulic lifters have a patented constant orifice metering valve that precisely meters oil to the rocker arms. Continuous contact between the metering valve and pushrod seat is maintained, eliminating excessive oiling at high engine speeds. The pushrod seat is made of a special powdered metal iron alloy that is heat-treated for strength and wear resistance.

    In addition, High Energy Lifters have a lightweight check valve disc that allows for quicker response, which results in increased engine speed before valve float. This check valve disc also maintains added control at all engine speeds and loads.

    COMP Cams High Energy Hydraulic Lifters also contain a longer piston than conventional hydraulic lifters, which provides more load bearing surface and increases lifter longevity.

The aggressive exhaust note of a Thumpr cam comes from a combination of early exhaust valve opening, long exhaust duration and a generous amount of intake and exhaust overlap - maximizing the rough-idling characteristics of the cams without negatively impacting power or streetability.

    These Steel Super Locks™ with lash cap recess feature a 10° lock angle and 11/32" valve stem size. They are recommended for all race applications because Super Locks™ have a wider angle (10°) that better distributes the ever increasing valve spring loads over the retainer than typical 7° locks. With more aggressive cam lobe designs and increased rpm ranges, it takes a superior roller lifter to withstand the abuse. COMP Cams has set the industry standard with the Endure-X Solid Roller Lifters. Endure-X Lifters are fully heat-treated, machined to ultra-high tolerances, and are fully rebuildable. 

    Recommended for use with .875" or smaller base circle camshafts. Fits small block Chevy V8 265-400 (set of eight lifters).

    There are many things that effect vacuum. Camshaft lobe separation, lifter style, intake manifold, piston rings, compression ratio and overall valve and engine condition. Due to many and varied engine combinations, Speedway Motors offers no warranty on camshaft and or lifters for either performance, vacuum or longevity.

    Must be used with break-in oil additive (sold separately).

    Mechanical roller tappet camshaft for oval track applications by COMP Cams. Cam features a 4/7 swap firing order (18736542 firing order) which exchanges the 4 and 7 camshaft lobe timing in small block Chevy V8s. This provides a smoother application of force to the crankshaft. Some 4/7 swap engines will experience horsepower gains, but all of them will gain an exceptionally smooth torque curve with this new firing order technology.
