    PerTronix Plug-n-Play Ignitor III Flame-Thrower billet distributors give you CD ignition box performance without the box! Ignitor III systems produce multiple sparks through the entire RPM range, but DO NOT require an external ignition "box." Plus, the Ignitor III module has an adaptive dwell feature which maintains peak energy throughout the entire RPM range.

    1. Does NOT have provisions for a vacuum advance. 
    2. Can be used with most ignition coils 0.6 Ohms or greater.
    3. For 12 volt negative ground systems. Requires 12-14 Volts.
    4. Must use suppression spiral core ignition wires (not solid core wires).
    5. NOT for use with CD or multiple spark systems.
    6. Lobe sensor design triggers off the point cam or reluctor and does not require a magnet sleeve.
    7. Not intended for marine use.

                Speedway Motors offers this billet aluminum electronic distributor for the fabulous '32-'41 Flathead Ford V8 with the 3-bolt mount. This distributor is a "ready-to-run" unit that does not require a control box. 

    We suggest a 12v coil 447-45001 (chrome) or 447-45011 (black) to be used with this distributor. We also suggest our spark plug wire set 910-64200.

    Get extra performance with this Mallory "Double-Life" Distributor.  It uses two breaker points with a 4-lobe cam.

     The Mallory "Double-Life" Distributor opens and closes the points only 12,000 times per minute at 3000 RPM.  Unlike ordinary ignition distributors that open and close 24,000 times per minute at 6000 RPM.  So with Doubl-Life there's no chance of point float. eratic timing or weak coil output.  And, of course, there is less wear.

    An extremely high spartk output is provided to assure faster starting, smoother idling, better performance and perfect engine timing at all speeds.

    MSD's Billet 351W Distributor is for Ford enthusiasts who are serious about performance! Just under the brass terminals of the MSD cap and rotor is an easy-to-adjust mechanical advance assembly. The assembly is fine blanked from chro-moly steel, TIG-welded for strength plus receives a QPQ coating. The precision weights glide on nylon bushings for smooth advancement and different springs and stop bushings are supplied so a variety of advance curves can be tuned. The steel shaft that spins the advance and reluctor receives a friction reducing coating plus is guided by a sealed ball bearing and long sintered bushing. This combination provides stable timing signals and spark delivery at any rpm. Triggering chores are handled by MSD’s race proven, maintenance-free magnetic pick-up.

This combination keeps the shaft steady creating accurate spark delivery at any rpm.     This is the easiest to install, easiest to adjust timing - CNC machined distributor you will find. Just drop in as you normally would, hook up the three wires, set the initial timing, run a vacuum line to the advance and you are really ready to dial it in. Literally. This distributor has a knob on the side that allows you to change timing up or down 1/2 a degree at a time. How cool is that? It starts producing a super hot spark at 50 rpm for easy starting and keeps putting our through 10,000 rpm. It also has a small diameter cap to clear tight fit applications. Cap has HEI-style terminals.

    This is a "ready to run" distributor. It does not require a multi spark box.

    Use coil number 447-45001 (1.5 OHM). If using with a lower resistance coil than 1.5 OHM, you must use a ballast resistor to achieve the 1.5 OHM rating.

    You can't go wrong with the best selling MSD Billet Distributor! The housing is machined from a billet of 6061-T6 aluminum on a state-of-the-art CNC machine producing exact tolerances. For high rpm stability, a .500” steel shaft is supported by a sealed ball bearing and a long sintered bushing. This shaft also receives a QPQ coating for friction reduction and resistance to corrosion. A precision machined reluctor is attached to the shaft which triggers the magnetic pick-up mounted in the housing. This high output magnetic pick-up is the most accurate way to trigger your ignition. Plus, with no moving parts to wear or adjust, the pick-up is maintenance free! Just above the pick-up is MSD’s adjustable mechanical advance assembly. Different springs and stop bushings are supplied so you can tune an advance curve to match your application.

    Fits Small Block or Big Block Chevy V8.
