There's a lot riding on your springs-literally. Springs are your car's connection to the ground, and their performance is directly related to all other suspension components. Inconsistent, weak springs can cause a multitude of handling problems , and, in some cases, dangerous situations. When it comes to choosing coil springs, there are many alternatives, but if you want the best you can get, the choice is clear: CHOOSE AFCOILS.

  • Every AFCO Coil Spring is machine-ground on both ends to tolerances within 1 degree, and then pressed to solid height and "pre-set." This process virtually eliminates any potential for additional set.
  • AFCO has made a science of optimizing the variables of material thickness and coil spacing to achieve the best possible design for each rate and height of spring in their product line.
  • AFCOILS incorporate the use of super-high tensile strength chrome silicon wire for long life and and a consistent rate. All springs are cold wound on the latest automated coiling equipment and heat treated twice during manufacturing to be able to withstand even the most abusive conditions.
  • To further enhance durability, AFCOILS are shot-peened and coated with a durable yellow finish.

AFCO Double Pass provide more cooling over standard type radiators, with less than 2 oz. of added weight.  Common temperature drops are 10-20 degrees when replacing a standard configuration radiator of equal core size.  Keeps your mind off the water temp and puts it onto the race track.

AFCO Low Friction Ball Joints are designed with 2 ft. lbs. of resistance, the force required to move the stud of the ball joint.  Compare this with standard replacement joints, with as high as 50 ft. lbs. of resistance.  A difference you can feel!  It is critical to handling that suspension components be as free as possible to move.  Low friction ball joints allow the suspension to give rather than allowing the tire to bounce over rough surfaces.  Low tire pressures magnify the need to minimize friction in the suspension.

    Racer Note: Master cylinder bores are built with close tolerances. Stroking the master cylinder dry can cause damage to the internal rubber seals causing leaks, soft pedal, and lack of pressure. Never clean a master cylinder with carburetor cleaner or similar products as they will cause seal damage.

    Racer Note: When rebuilding brake master cylinders and calipers, always lubricate internal parts with brake assembly fluid before installation.
    This will keep seals and o-rings from becoming damaged by dry cylinder walls and pistons.
