This is a very robust battery box and the designers did good job of providing seals for the vent tube, cables and the lid, but neglected to provide seals for the mounting/battery hold down rods. The rods are right up against the side walls if you use the hold down bracket as a template. I would have been simple to have added bump outs on the sides and provided rubber seals to prevent leakage in the event the battery acid reaches bottom of the box. FYI I am using this in the trunk of a street rod and don't need leakage in the trunk. Will end up sealing the rods with silicone.

I used the battery box for my race car. Its mounted behind my seat so I wanted a sealed box. I like this one cause it wasnt too big and its a complete kit. Its not flimsy either. Very strong. Great product.
