Saved me a ton of time
I had ordered a set of rebuilt heads and after waiting for over two weeks for them to show up, received one with a bent rocker arm stud. Not being a big fan of the stock press in studs, decided to order these to repair the bent one but also replace the remaining stock ones as well. Received them in just a couple of days, and drilled/ tapped and installed these all on my kitchen table. Got the heads installed the next day and everything back together.

Will I have to do any modifications to the head or add longer pushrods with these studs? I am using it to replace a pulled stud. I tapped the boss and bought a hex head stud. It doesn't allow rocker to tighten down on the valve or pushrod. Will these thread on and work without having to change anything?

I am considering using these rocker studs but I can't find accurate torque specs anywhere. I have seen specs ranging from 12-50ft/lbs and have also heard of people cracking the stud bosses with this style of rocker stud (likely from over-tightening). What is the correct torque spec for installing these rocker studs? Are these studs ok for a mild performance application? I am running Chev Vortec heads and a cam with approx. 270* advertised duration and 0.520 inch lift.

Do these require polylocks or can I use the standard crimp nut and will they work without any machine work to the head other than tapping the hole?
