Xlnt Item - Highly Recommended!!

I have a VERY complete fabrication - welding shop, but could not fabricate a less expensive SBC engine stand myself. For the price, this is a steal!! Excellent weld joints, fits perfectly. Very highly recommended.

It works ok

January 23, 2015
It works ok but a two bolt front bracket instead of the one bolt design would distribute the weight better - there is a lot of weight on one bolt.
Yes, I recommend this product.

Great little well made stand for 327 and

July 19, 2014
I bought this stand for my '56 265 re-build, realizing that it lacked the proper uprights to fit the front motor mounts. In a morning I made two one inch square tubing uprights for the front of the engine with tabs to bolt to the front of the frame. It would be nice for the existing front 327 mounts to have three holes rather than one. For the price it is a nicely built usable mount. I bolted mine to a dolly so it could be rolled around. These motors weigh 575 lb. sl they need a sturdy stand.
Pros:
  • Excellent Finish
Cons:
  • needs modification for an early 265 or 283 sbc
Yes, I recommend this product.

Worked as intended

October 13, 2012
It showed up in 2 days in typical Speedway good service fashion. I didn't even have to put it together. Rounded up 4 bolts and attached it to the motor. Tightened it all up and set it on the floor. Rock steady. Good product for the money.
Pros:
  • no wheels but easy to move.
  • everthing
Yes, I recommend this product.

My wife liked the extra room

June 05, 2012
Easy to assemble, sturdy, space saver as I was able to take the engine off the engine assembly stand and pack it up for later and store the engine in less space. My wife was happy with that.
Pros:
  • Durable
  • Easy To Use
  • Lightweight
  • Versatile
  • Space saver
Yes, I recommend this product.

No we do not recommend stating the engine on this stand. You would certainly want to tie the engine down if you plan to start it on any stand. Also if you are attempting to start it on this stand I would weld the stand together instead of relying on the bolt setup that will most likely flex.
