7/8 Spring Spacer

January 04, 2012
I race in a 4 cylinder stock class.I use the spacers in the strut coils.Usually run 2 in the Lf &2in Lr.I drill a hole in each one to zip tie them into place, can always snip a zp tie to remove one if needed. This allows some adjustibility to a suspention that otherwise you cannot adjust.
Pros:
  • Improves Handling
  • Easy To Install
Yes, I recommend this product.

The amount of spring rate change will depend upon the number of coils of the spring, the distance between the coils, and the rate of your spring. The best bet is to put your spring in a spring rater and check the spring rate with and without the spacer to determine the difference in rate.

This is 7/8" thick. You may want to measure the distance between the coils on the particular spring you want to use this with to determine if it will fit how you want it to. This is a very universal item and I have sold them to people to use on street stock springs as well as many other applications. How it fits into each spring depends upon the distance between the coils.

The rubber coil spring spacer is designed to increase spring rate and limit travel of the spring. Depending on spring rate versus weight of car this could increase ride height.

Is this spring rubber designed to fit between the coils of a spring or on the top or bottom of a spring? Also what is the inside and outside diameter of this spring rubber? I see that is 7/8 spacer that is 1 inch wide but is it a U shape or an H shape?

This spring rubber is intended to be placed between two coils on a 5" or 5.5" OD coil spring. It has a U shaped groove on top and bottom to accept the round coils. With this being rubber the ID and OD can be manipulated easily. As long as your spring is in the 4.5" to 5.5" OD range then this will work fine.
