Yes this can also be used to put a 4 barrel carburetor on a 2 barrel intake manifold but you may need to use a spacer between this adapter and the carburetor so that the throttle blades do not hit this adapter.

Does this spacer mount the carb over the back 2 holes on a quadrajet intake?

Part number 1351936A dumps the 2 barrel fuel approximately ¼ to 1/3 in the front two ports and the rest in the rear ports of a stock intake manifold. For better performance a performer intake with center divider will give better results and for the utmost gain part number 1351954 is suggested.

will this adapter work with a 4412 carb adapting to a pre 86 SBC high rise cast intake manifold

Use the bolts to mount adapter to intake, and use the studs to mount carb to adapter.

You would use the studs in the intake manifold and the bolts and nuts to bolt the carb to the adapter.
