This Powermaster starter has a 4.4:1 reduction ratio, and makes 200 ft. lbs. of torque. It shouldn't have any problem cranking your 429.

Sorry I am not able to locate that exact bellhousing part number. This starter will work for your application however as long as your flywheel tooth count matches what the bellhousing was made for. You can not use a 176 tooth flywheel in a bellhousing that is made for a 184 tooth flywheel.

Can you provide dimensions on this starter? The stock length 460 starter will not fit my application so I'm hoping this one will. Thanks for any help given.

This starter is 6 3/8" long from the mount flange to the front of the starter motor. Also the pinion gear sticks out 1/2" from the mount flange.
