Quality piece.

The Winters two piece system is more adaptable for racers who make car changes during the season. They can use the early as well as the late crate motors by merely switching the flanges. One piece units can not. The winters two piece coupler also can go from a floating bell housing to a mid-mount plate with a snap ring change. One piece units can not.
Pros:
  • Cost
  • snap rings are cheap
  • Quality
Cons:
  • needs a new snap ring when changing flanges.
Yes, I recommend this product.

Make sure that the sleeve is fully seated into the transmission pump. If so the you should be able to find a slot for the snap ring that gives you about 1/8" slop back and forth when the transmission is bolted up. Also be sure that the snap ring is completely seating into the groove. If it is hanging up even a small amount then it will not slip into the drive hub. Verify this by sliding the splined end into the drive hub and make sure the snap ring will seat up against the machined recess of the drive hub.
