Booster adapter plate number 91031402 will work with master cylinder spacing of 3 ¼ or 3 3/8 to mate with your Cyclone bolt pattern. If you have studs coming out of the firewall and they are on one of those spacings then remove the studs as needed to allow the studs on the adapter plate to go thru the firewall and reinforcement plate and nut from inside the car. Once the booster assembly is bolted to the adapter plate it can then be installed on the car. Then the master can be bolted to the booster that has the pushrod adjusted properly.

This handy adapter plate allows for easy switchover from manual hydraulic brakes to power brakes. If will work with master cylinder mounts of 3 1/4" and 3 3/8" center to center and works with the most common 3 3/8” center to center booster square mounting pattern. You need to verify the clearance for the booster and if running a clutch and brake currently on same pedal platform there may be clearance issues.

This adapter plate will work with most 2 bolt master cylinder patterns when installing one of Speedway’s Booster/master cylinder combos. It does not change the pedal ratio and if using the stock pedal ratio your pedal pressure requirement will be less. Customers use a range of 6 to 1 to over 10 to 1 pedal ratios with satisfactory results. Pedal travel is also affected when using a power brake set up. The application on a 39-48 Ford stock master cylinder mount may yield another problem as the standard master cylinder is a 3 bolt triangular pattern. For an adapter plate for that application you may want to contact Sacramento Vintage Ford. If running an automatic we do offer a pedal assembly in an X member mount under part number 91631940 or a rail mount under part number 91631960 and these fit the years of ’35-40 Fords.

With this plate you will be able to bolt your booster to your existing 2-bolt master cylinder mount. If your car had power brakes on it from the factory then you might be able to use this bracket to convert back to a manual setup, however it is made to convert our pedal bracket assembly from manual to a power brake system.

This will work to adapt to the electric booster as long as your stock booster bolt pattern is 3 3/8" tall by 3 3/8" wide.
