Flat Steering Arm Illustration (GIF)

Specify desired length in comments section of shopping cart. No returns/exchange on custom length links. Select your length based on the center-to-center of the heim rod ends, which will also be the eye-to-eye distance between the steering arms (the acutal tube will be 3" shorter than length selected). At selected length, the link will be adjustable from 1/4" shorter to 1/2" longer.

Note: Always use anti-seize to prevent galling the treads during final installation.

Custom length drag link

March 01, 2016
I needed a custom length for the steering link on my '29 hot rod. I was able to order exactly what I needed with the correct threads. It only took a few days for Speedway to make it and get it to me. Far exceeded my expectations. Don't waste your time trying to fabricate... this is great professional product and service.
Pros:
  • Took Only A Few Days
  • Exact Fit For My Car
  • L R Threads To My Spec
Yes, I recommend this product.

Can i tap more threads into this rod? Is this tie rod bar made of DOM tubing? I already bought this bar and it is to long. Could I remove the excess rod length and tap new threads into the tubing?

Yes, you can cut this tube and rethread. This tube is right hand on one end and left hand thread on the other end.
