What's in the Box

Never change points again with the PerTronix Ignitor points conversion kit. It provides increased voltage for improved performance and fuel efficiency. The system completely eliminates the contact points and fits neatly underneath the distributor cap for a "stock" look. Compatible with all 12 volt negative ground systems.

PerTronix Ignitor Systems can be used with any stock point-type coil, or use the Flame-Thrower 40,000 volt coil for maximum performance. Also compatible with MSD ignition boxes.

Best Bang for the Buck!

My homebuilt street rod is a 1935 Plymouth with a 1965 Buick engine that originally used points and coil ignition. I switched to the Pertronix Ignitor and coil and with no other changes, the power and smoothness of the engine was noticably improved. I wish this product had been around back when all we had were points! I am very satisfied with this product!

Why didn't it come with it originally?

This product was very easy to install and is reasonably inexpensive to own. The improvement in performance greatly outweighs any cost to purchase. Haven't really encountered any negatives so far. We are leaving soon on a 2500 mile road trip. I expect no problems.

These kits eliminate the hassle of point replacement and loss of gap and change of dwell as the wear block dimension changes. It updates the distributor to a modern day electronic ignition. For applications other than listed we suggest contacting Pertronix direct for availability. For complete system we suggest using the recommended coil with proper ohm rating.
