What's in the Box

Info

This pump may look similar to others on the outside, but the internal components of the ProCam fuel pump have been re-engineered to reduce leaks and maintain pressure. It is completely reworked to increase flow, and machined with 1/2" inlet and outlet to get more fuel to the engine faster. Maintains more constant pressure at high rpms. Blueprinted for longevity and quality.
  • Re-engineered to reduce leaks and maintain pressure
  • Completely reworked to increase flow, and machined with 1/2" inlet and outlet to get more fuel to the engine faster
  • Small Block Chevy applications rated up to 1200 HP on gas; up to 600 HP on alcohol or E85
  • 6 valve, 130 GPH
  • Use of a regulator is recommended for 15 psi fuel pumps

Notes

Tech Tips

  • Running alcohol?  To prevent seals and other components from drying out and leaking, flush the pump with gasoline on a regular basis to lubricate the seals.  This is particularly important at the end of the season
  • PSI is rated at full throttle and may be higher at idle
  • If you need to reclock the pump, remove all bolts and separate the pump body into two sections (top and bottom) before rotating

Very pleased with my Pro/Cam fuel pump. I currently have my fuel pressure at 9 psi and this is no problem for the Pro/Cam Fuel Pump. I have ran this for about a year and a half on my UMP modified with no leaks and no cracks in casing as I have had with other fuel pumps. I highly recommend this product
Pros:
  • quality constructed base
  • 1/2 inlet and outlet
  • maintains fuel preasure
Yes, I recommend this product.

I'm very satisfied with this fuel pump. I've owned other pumps from other manufacturers that cost way more and this pump by fare competes with them in performance (and even out performs most of them) and beats them in bang for the buck Good steady flow never had a fuel delivery problem with this pump
Yes, I recommend this product.

these pumps work great on our GRT modifieds. only tricky part is clocking the pump without tearing the diaphragm, which is easily done by completely separating the two halves then rotating them. pumps put out adequate pressure and have not had any problems after 25 races on them so far.
Yes, I recommend this product.

Those numbers are not significant for anything. It may be an individual component part number or possibly a serial number. It has no significance for our purposes.

It is possible for fuel to make it into the crankcase if the pump fails but it's not very likely. There is a vent hole in the top of the pump where the fuel will come out of if the diaphragm fails or starts leaking. You will usually notice fuel spilling onto the ground long before any fuel makes it into the crankcase. This is typical of all mechanical fuel pumps.

Yes, the Pro/Cam racing fuel pump does have 1/2" NPT inlet and outlet. Speedway offers fitting part #6176049 for AN 8 or 6176050 for AN10. We also offer these fitting in 45 and 90 degree.

If you have this 15 psi fuel pump then you would have to use a regulator with it. For E85 you should have around 7 to 8 psi of fuel pressure. If your current system is operating in that pressure range then you should be fine.
