What's in the Box

Info

This labor option is only available on Ford 9" ring gear when you purchase your new ring and pinion of a 3.89 and higher ratio.  Due to the size of the ring gear, this option will not be applicable to a 3.70 and lower ratio.

A 5.43 ring gear comes out 2.6 lbs. lighter. Other ratios may vary.

Made to order, will ship 24-48 hours after receipt of order.

What is lighter. A motive gear AX 6.50 or richmond gear 6.50 with this labor option? Can you lighten a AX gear if so how much does that come out to? I want to maximize hp to the wheels but I don't want the gear to break either. IMCA stock car less than 400HP

This lightening option will get you the lightest gear possible. The example of a 5.43 gear having 2.6 pounds removed is compared to a standard weight gear such as our Richmond 91919543. The Motive AX gears have some material removed but not as much as this. It will be approximately half of the material removal that this option offers. For an IMCA stock car you can get by with this extreme light wight option.
