G'day Speedway Motors, I first purchased the Timeless Tan gauge kit off Ebay and was so impressed I then purchased the RPM gauge to go with it. It sits nicely in a brushed stainless steel dash in my fully restored VW Manx Buggy, it looks awesome and really suits the style of the car . Nick from Australia.

Good looks doesn't read steady

I have it connected to the tach output of a Mallory box and the rpms jump around in the 2000-3000 rpm range
Pros:
  • Good looking
Cons:
  • reading not steady
No, I would not recommend this product.

Yes, this Omega tach has the option via a dial on the back for 4, 6, and 8 cylinder engines.

Just purchased your tach and have it hooked up correctly, but does not work. The needle goes on zero when the key is on, but never moves once the truck is started up. Wanted to make sure this works with an LS2 motor. I have the signal wire hooked up from the computer to the tach as instructed. Thanks, Dave

On the LS engines if using the ECM signal you may want to try first setting the tack for a 4 cylinder engine even though you have a V8. If still not working the use of a tach adapter or a pull up resistor between the signal and the power post of the tach. With the multiple coils on the LS engine a tach adapter may be the easiest resolution and we offer part number 1829117.
