What's in the Box

These Offy flathead Ford heads are finned for high heat dissipation, bigger water capacity for "built" engines and everybody knows, nothing beats a full-dress flathead for beauty! Heads have a .400" valve relief.

3-5/16" bore, 4" stroke = 9:1 compression ratio
3-5/16" bore, 3 3/4" stroke = 8.6:1 compression ratio.

Edelbrock now offers their 1938-1948 Ford/Mercury 24-Stud Flathead cylinder heads with the traditional block letters Vic Sr. used. Extensive R&D and modern CAD systems give these heads more power potential and greater heat control than any before! Works well on stock or modified engines.

These heads have 65cc chambers producing 8:1 compression with the stock bore & stroke. Plus, they accept up to .410" valve lift for use with most performance cams.

Highly recommended for all 1939-53 Flathead Ford/Mercury with aluminum heads. Flathead decks are thin and their threads are easily stripped. The outer end of these Grade 8 studs have fine threads and with the hardened washers (included) which prevent galling and ensure accurate torque readings.

Full set of head studs, nuts and washers for one engine. Specify year of engine: 1939-48 or 1949-53.
