The first order of this item. …. Oil filter cutter… got lost during delivery. I contacted speedway customer service and ended up dealing with Ken. He got the process started fast and even called me with updates. Even though I was requesting a refund because of the time already lost, he sweetened the deal to try to make it right. The customer service is the reason I'm a customer right now. Thanks Ken! As for the tool it's got some heft to it, basic 2 wheels and a cutting wheel on a threaded shaft like a tubing cutter , but sized for an oil filter. About a 6'' capacity, big easy grip knurled knob, all aluminum, made in china but looks over-built . I won't need to be gentle with this. Should be fine for hobby use.

Not the best but gets the job done
It gets the job done cutting the thicker case OTR filters we use on our car but the design is lacking. The better design is ones where a single roller pin goes into the main port on the filter, but this one gets the job done

For engine oil filters it works great. I tried it on a hydraulic oil filter. Not so much. But no fault of the tool. Hydraulic oil filters are crimped differently. With a deaper head.
