Bought this air cleaner for my 1929 Ford w/open motor. Looks cool and will not rust, also covers filter for cleaner look.
Nice air cleaner has a nice nostalgia look but at 8" dia it is too large for some multiple carb applications and is really pretty small for a single 4 bbl. I really liked the air cleaners but had to return since I didn't have sufficent spacing for my dual quad set up but they would have looked awsome!
Fast delivery and they were great about my return and exchange! I received the replacment quick!
I run an open engine & it keeps rain out.
I used two of these on my sbc with 2x4 intake. Perfit fit.

Can spun aluminum be easily polished to almost chrome like appearance?

Spun aluminum parts will have some ridges that will need to be sanded smooth before moving on to polishing. That is the hard part. But yes, you can polish the Nostalgia Spun Aluminum Air Cleaner, Item # 91011093, to chrome like appearance.

This filter is 6-1/4" x 2-3/8". Replacement part # 92511622 or 962511623
