What's in the Box

The Nostalgia T frame is engineered to provide the ultimate in economy and ease of assembly. It features the same spring-behind-axle front suspension as the Budget T, but includes front shock/headlight mounts. The coilover rear suspension uses traditional-style radius rods and a panhard bar, with all necessary mounts welded in place. If you're looking for an affordable, well-engineered T-bucket chassis requiring only basic mechanical skills to assemble, the Nostalgia T is for you!

  1. If ordering the body kit without a floor, please note that the door will not be hung. If you order a body kit with a floor (715-3211 or 715-3221), the door will be fitted & hung on its hinges before shipping.

Does the body come already on the chassis? Does the body come mounted on the chassis? I would like to know because I want to channel the car a certain amount, is that possible with this kit or is there a set channel amount? Thanks

No the body is not mounted on the frame. This body has a floor installed which is channeled 3". If you want to channel the body to a different amount then you will be much better off getting a body without a floor and build a floor for the amount of channeling that you desire. This same kit with a body having no floor is part number 7153200.

BBC with and 8-71 going to a TH350 I am putting together a BBC 427 connected to a TH350 automatic running an 8-71 supercharger built for fun on the street and mostly looks and the occasional getting on it just because. My estimate is around 700 HP with this combination and I am wondering if the chassis would take that. It will not be abused it is being built for fun but it will be inevitable to sometimes want to get on it and have fun. Also is there a complete kit or can a complete kit be ordered so that all parts are onsite at the same time instead of having to start and stop a build when parts run out. If so how much would a "kit" of this nature cost? For the front axle could an I beam type with the holes drilled in it be ordered. That is the look I would like to go after.

My estimate is around 700 HP with this combination and I am wondering if the chassis would take that. It will not be abused it is being built for fun but it will be inevitable to sometimes want to get on it and have fun. There are several of our T bucket kits with blown big blocks in them. While the chassis and suspension isn't really designed for it they are typically ok for a show/driver type of application when the entire amount of power available is rarely used. If runs down the drag strip were planned you would certainly want to beef things up. Sorry we do not have an complete all encompassing kit. We do sell most if not all the parts to complete one of these cars but there are many choices on how you want yours to be.

For a SBF engine is it better to have a front sump or rear sump oil pan installed when using this chassis or can you use either Just want to be sure before I install the oil pan for the motor I am building to go into this kit once I order the kit.

The T bucket option for the small block Ford and auto will require the use of a front sump pan as a rear sump or two sump pan will not clear the cross member. In addition the right angle filter adapter number 910-6880 must be used to clear the frame rail.

Speedway’s T bucket kits have the option for small block Chevy or Ford motor mounts and the frames have proven strong enough for any small block horsepower including the Blown Small blocks sitting in a T buckert. Some customers have even modified slightly and used big blocks in their Buckets. The 420 and 430 horse 383 small blocks are a common power plant small block ordered by our customers.

What is the ride height for the t bucket kits that are not the tribute t? I like the low look of the Tribute T, but I was wondering how high the other kits sit. Is it possible to get them as low, or is that something that can only be accomplished with the Tribute T?

The Tribute rear frame and suspension also lowers the car for a more level stance. With the rear lower on the Tribute the standard pickup bed and fuel cell cannot be used. For rear end clearance on the standard T buckets the frame could be modified and the rear lowered but you would need to use an alternative to the pickup bed and fuel cell we commonly offer. The standard T buckets run similar components in the front and offer approximately 3 ½” oil pan clearance.
