    Includes fittings for 16MM or 5/8"-18 as well as 14MM or 9/16"-18. Banjo bolts fit both O-ring or IF style fittings. Crush washers will compress to get 3 threads of engagement once torqued.

These stainless steel braided power steering hose kits will connect 1984-88 T-Bird and 1979-93 Mustang racks to most Ford or GM style internal reservoir power steering pumps. The hoses provide a custom look without the need to buy any additional parts. This kit is designed for drivers side pumps and may require hoses to be trimmed to length.

The kit includes:

  • (2) 24" AN6 stainless steel braided hoses with 90° ends installed (rack end)
  • (1) Banjo bolt assembly for the pressure connection to the pump with 5/8" or 16mm threads
  • (1) Custom clamp cover for the return hose which connects to a hose nipple on the pump
  • Rack fittings in this kit are one each, 16mm or 5/8"-18, and one each, 14mm or 9/16"-18

Nice kit!

This kit was used to fit a T-bird rack into my 53 F100 with MII suspension. Deciding where to route the hoses and cutting them is the hardest part. I used a regular hose clamp on the return line as I couldn't get the chrome plated plastic one onto the hose-no loss here! For the most part, this is Plug-n-play!

ugly

used on a street rod, thought stainless would work and look good.... but lines dull and fitting bulky and very unattractive

Don't be intimidated by having to put on the ends. If you take your time everything goes right together, and looks real good when you're finished the installation. A small metabo with a cut wheel is a must for cutting back the stainless braiding.

I installed the hose set on my T-Bird/Cougar rack and a Ford pump. The banjo bolt made the installation clean and easy. Very easy installation, although cutting the brading and installing the collar & nut can be a little tough for anyone not experienced. This hose set is NOT stiff like the black high pressure hose set I initially tried to use.
