Info

Outer tie rod fits left or right, attaches steering rack to spindles. Fits both manual Mustang II and 1982-1988 T-Bird power racks. Measures 1.5" longer than stock outer tie rod end.

I used these on my 41 chevy sedan hot rod project they provided the adjustment i needed they are very well built,strong all around top quality I have nothing to complain about but thats the norm with speedway motors thanks guys

"Just the right fit"

I used the extended outer tie rod ends on my custom 2F1R three wheel trike. The threads where a bit tight on one of the tie rod ends but after a few turns the fit was perfect. Very good product.

do I need inner tie rod extensions? I have 55 ford truck with heidts crossmember, original 74 mustang II IFS. Can I use these 1.5" ends or do I need to get the inner tie rod extensions? I have 82-88 tbird power rack...

If you are using a Speedway or a Heidts cross member designed for your 55 Ford truck the cross member is wider than an OEM Mustang II requiring the use of the inner tie rod extensions. The wider cross member moves the control arms out and to keep the rack pivots in line with the control arm pivots the extensions are required. If using longer outer tie rods and leaving the rack original two different arcs are created during suspension travel creating bump steer, erratic tire wear, and excessive tire scrub during the turning radius. If an OEM cross member is used then neither the inner extensions or longer tie rods should be required unless the control arm length was modified

This is 1-1/2" longer than stock. It is 4.90" from stud centerline to end.
