easyyyyyyyyyyyy
I tried these mufflers on my 600 HP Super Stock Circle Track Car. The effect was minimal. Perhaps on a lower HP engine they would be more effective.
This is the second vehicle I have used them on. They give you the look of open headers and quiet them down enough to be streetable.
When I received these inserts, I really didn't think they would cut the sound much. Boy, was I surprised! They sound mellow, like glass packs should, while my T-bucket still retains the exhaust appeal. I had to make an installation tool from a pice of 3" PVC pipe to drive the inserts into the extensions. This made the install simple. Great product, great price.
The mufflers are to hard to install. could mar finish of pipes thay are put in.

These mufflers are meant to fit inside our header extensions http://www.speedwaymotors.com/Slip-Over-Extensions,1720.html. They are retained inside the extension and won't slip or move because the extension has a turnout on it. you might be able to use these in a straight pipe by putting some set screws on the back side to keep them from moving.

I see the review is there much sound reduction
Asked on 9/24/2011 11:14:03 AM by from Castle Rock, Colorado
These slip in mufflers offer considerable noise reduction. There is not a percentage or decibel figure available as there are so many contributing factors that influence the noise level along with personal preference. In some instances customers have used two of the shorter mufflers on each side and run one part way into the collector header for additional muffling.

Is there any reason one cannot run the shorter mufflers in the longer 26" extentions and are they comparable in the level of sound?
Asked on 12/8/2011 7:45:07 AM by Dale from Cincinnati Ohio
Speedway part number 91013102. You can run the short mufflers in the long extensions, but they may move if you don't put some set screws to retain them. The short ones will be a bit louder.

For the best sound and long life, which direction should I install the glasspaks? exhaust flow over the louvers or gas flow into the louvers? Thanks, Ralph
Asked on 12/27/2011 10:24:15 AM by from Castle Rock, Colorado
Part number 91013102 The exhaust flow needs to go over the louvers and NOT into the louver. The opening should face the rear or exit on the extensions.
