Tried and true Mallory electronic distributor for your 1949-1953 Flathead Ford. Features magnetic breakerless ignition technology for greatly improved accuracy versus points-style distributors. For 12 volt systems only.

Note: This distributor requires 1.4 ohms of coil resistance. If you are using a coil with less than 1.4 ohms, you must use a ballast resistor that will achieve the required 1.4 ohm total resistance. If you are using coil # 447-45001, no resistor will be required.

1949-1953 Flathead Ford Distributor Drive Gear
                        

This gear attaches to the base of the distributor shaft on 1949-53 Ford V8's. Replace your worn, damaged or missing original gear with this top quality new one! Roll pin not included (reuse original pin).

Note: We recommend you replace the cam gear and distributor drive gear at the same time.

Mallory's Magnetic Breakerless Ignition Modules are self contained module assemblies which have no moving parts to wear out. Using Mallory's time tested breakerless ignition circuit, combined with modern surface mount Thermal-Cladé construction, these ignition modules can drive both OEM and high performance ignition coils. Hookup is as easy as a three wire connection.
