Mallory Magnetic Breakerless Electronic Distributor for 1932-1941 Ford Flathead V8 with the 3-bolt mount. Includes Mallory Super-Duty cap (points style) and rotor with brass terminals.

  • Adjustable mechanical advance

  • Easy 3-wire hookup
  • Does not require an external control box
  • For 12 volt systems only

Note: This distributor requires 1.4 ohms of coil resistance. If you are using a coil with less than 1.4 ohms, you must us a ballast resistor that will achieve the required 1.4 ohm total resistance. If you are using coil # 447-45001, no resistor will be required.

Specs

  • Measures approx. 4" from where it sits on the front cover to the outside of the cap
  • Some '42-'48 models may encounter some water pump/fan interference due to slight increase in distributor length (modification maybe required)

This 3 bolt distributor for the 32-41 Ford will work on the V8 60 flathead if used in conjunction with the front cover number 91615957.

i have a flathead truck motor 36 with a mallory dist. older can i retrofit it with the electronic version. it currently is a 6 volt positive grd system and i belive it has a bad coil. if not what coil do i need.? thanks

This electronic distributor for the 32-41 Ford Flathead requires 12 volt negative ground so conversion to 12 volt and switching to negative ground will be required. If running a 6 volt point type ignition and needing a coil we offer part number 44740011 for replacement.

Yes the 1932-41 3-BOLT MOUNT MALLORY IGNITION - ELECTRONIC Item #: 5005071601 will work for you. When you change over to a 12 volt system from a 6 volt system, you must change from a positive to a negative ground.
