Just what I needed

October 09, 2013
After searching for a solution to raise the front end of my T Bucket I found these and mounted them under the front tongue and on top of the leaf springs. Just what the doctor ordered !!! Now I have an additional 1 inch clearance which is what I needed for the oil pan drain plug to have more clearance.
Pros:
  • Easy To Install
  • comes in 1/4 inch increments for custom fit
Cons:
  • would of been better if they came chromed
  • somewhat time consuming but you should know that
Yes, I recommend this product.

Leaf spring spacer number 91633019 is designed to go between the spring and the spring perch or crossmember. Simply remove the U-bolts or retainers, drop the spring down and install. Then reinstall the u-bolts. In some cases and depending on how many spacers are used longer u-bolts may be required.

I see that 1/4" is all you have, Can you put two together to make a 1/2" riser, or do you think it would have too much stress on it.

These leaf spring spacers are ¼” thick and can be installed in multiples as needed. A centering bolt or stud may be desired to keep the spring and spacers from shifting side to side if needed.

Do you have it thicker than 1/4 in.?

These leaf spring spacers are for springs 1 ¾” wide. In the case of the 1947-1959 Chevy pickups the standard width springs were 1 ¾” and these should function fine.
