Many rodders are looking to install Chevy’s powerful and efficient LS1 / LS6 Small Block V8 in their street rods, customs and classic trucks. These tight-fit headers can make those installations easier in a variety of applications, and help produce more power as well.
An oxygen sensor bung is included, but not installed, for those who want to keep the engine’s electronic fuel injection.
These headers are Armor Hot Coated, but are also available plain.

These Patriot tight-fit headers allow you to install the modern LS1 / LS6 Chevy V8 engine in many street rod and classic car applications. They have 1-5/8” primary pipes and 2-1/2” collectors. An oxygen sensor bung included but not installed.

To allow maximum clearance, these headers require the use of our 916-18016 motor mount adapters. They will not fit when using the OEM LS-Series motor mounts.
Armor Hot Coating (AHC) is a heat resistant, ceramic coating applied to the outside of the header. This coating will reflect heat, which helps retain more heat within the header tube while simultaneously speeding up the exhaust flow. Not only will this coating help you make more horsepower, it also keeps your headers rust-free, looking great, and lasting longer (when properly maintained). If you are looking for a show-quality finish for your headers, this is it! Our AHC will withstand exhaust temperatures of up to 1300˚ F.

AHC coatings will burn and be damaged at exhaust temperatures over 1300 degrees. A lean fuel mixture can generate exhaust temperatures exceeding 1700-1900 degrees. If the coating is damaged due to a lean condition, the coating will not be warranted, but can be recoated for a fee.
