No this will not work with a 6" rod. You will need a piston set that is correct for that rod length such as 474113, 474732, or 50325011.

You stated this piston will not work with a 6 inch rod but you did not answer the whole question. Will it work with a 3.75 crank or must a 3.50, 3.48 be used?

No this piston will absolutely not work with a 3.75" stroke. Pistons are extremely specific to the stroke length and rod length. You are looking for a 383 piston if you have a 3.75" stroke. This piston is technically is only correct for 3.48" stroke crankshafts but sometimes it is possible to fudge a bit and use it with a 3.5" stroke as long as the deck height of the block you are using is tall enough so that the piston doesn't protrude out of the top of the bore too far. The 3.5" stroke will make the piston come up .010" higher than a 3.48" stroke will. It all depends upon the combination of the deck height of your block and the thickness of the head gasket you are using to get that to work.
