What's in the Box

Info

Original equipment steering columns are loaded with unsightly brackets, tabs and switches. These columns are much cleaner in appearance and eliminate the column-mounted key switch. These non-shift versions feature a 2" O.D. column tube.
  • Self-canceling turn signals
  • 4-way flashers
  • Horn circuit
  • Aluminum dress-up kit (billet turn signal knob and handle tilt knob and handle and 4-way flasher button)
  • Plain steel finish

Measures 28" long from steering wheel base to end of the 1" double D shaft. Each has a standard GM 3-7/8" wire harness, 5-position tilt, and accept stock 1969-up GM steering wheels or our custom wheels with an adapter (sold separately).

For the Ididit column ribbon plug we offer the connector in two ways. One is the connectors for the switch in the column if so equipped and the ribbon plug under kit number 91064039 or just the connectors and terminals that crimp to your wires under number 91064040.

This is a universal column and has a 1” double D shaft out the bottom. This would require adapting to your existing joint or replacing the rag joint with a U-joint. It does not have a mount to the dash or floor and would require modification on your part of the dash in order to make it work. You may want to contact Ididit direct if looking for a direct replacement. If not looking for a direct replacement we could assist with the necessary components for hook up and installation to your Falcon.

This steering column has a 1” double D output shaft and will require the necessary U-joint such as number 91032400 which goes to a round shaft. You will also need a length of steering shaft such as part number 91632200 and the other U-joint at the steering gear. At the floor you will need the 4462401 plus the boot and the necessary drop at the dash such as part number 4463244. Several options are available and the suggestions are just a few.

Steering column length is measured from the back edge of the column where the steering wheel attaches (the large OD area) to the end of the steering shaft connection.
